# How do I make sure our school gallery is password protected?

## Add a join code to your gallery so that it is password protected.

During gallery creation, on the Preferences page, select "Anyone" on the left side, and then select "Require join code for access." Set a unique join code in the boxes below that field. With the join code in place, only users who have it are able to view the gallery. A new gallery is typically created for each school year, so adding the year at the end of the gallery is a great option to keep them organized year after year. Example: RidgemontHigh22

Please note, for additional security, Waldo Photos customer support will not provide the join code to users who email in asking to see your school's photos; we tell them to reach out to their contact at the school.
